Matsturbating for Marriage

Mmm...a morning of shopping at the pet store. I love animals. I also love coming home and the apartment still smelling like what was cooked for breakfast, it's like eating all over again.

We were walking home from the pet store and our good friends who live across the street from me, were walking across to talk to us. They had just gotten back from the wedding coordinator, because they are getting married at the end of the summer.

There is an episode in the third season of the UK series, Coupling, that we watched a few weeks ago. Steve and Susan have been dating for a year now, and the future of their relationship is looming over both of their heads, when the wedding invitation of a good friend of theirs pops through the mail. Susan mentions how she is pretty sure this couple that is getting married started dating after them, while Steve is very adamant that they started dating after the couple. It's a hilariously awkward episode, as most of them are...but I think it got us both to thinking. We are going to two weddings this summer, he will be in one of them, and just in attendance to the other. But our two year anniversary is zooming closer and both of are wondering when we're going to take that big leap...

Marriage wasn't something I thought about as a teenager or a tween. Even after graduation, marriage wasn't what I was looking forward to post college. It was always a career or traveling. Something bigger, to me, something better. Then I met him...I call him George in my other failing blog, so I'll keep with that. So while all these bigger plans are in my brain, he's there too.

I still want to travel, I still want to study, I still want to have this incredible job that makes me dread leaving everyday when the time clock chimes, but I guess now I'll have someone to share that with besides my cat.

Don't get me wrong, we aren't getting married anytime soon. It's in discussion, and for now that's all...discussed.
